Insect series: Madame Butterfly

Madame Butterfly likes to say that one should address her as "your Majestey", but I'm not quite sure that being a monarch butterfly quite qualifies her.. She loves flitting from flower to flower collecting precious pollen and putting on airs.
She is a mixed media sculpture with her face, hands and chest made from polymer clay. She has Paverpol legs and wings with faux fur for hair and her body covering. She is mounted on a Paverpol covered wooden block. Because of the hair, this sculpture is not recommended for outside display.
